Lib Dem Leader Tim Farron in St. Neots

Lib Dem supporters in St Neots recently had a visit from Tim Farron MP, leader of the Liberal Democrats. Tim was out and about in support of Mayoral candidate Rod Cantrill.

Following a canvassing session, and with activists crowded into St Neots football club for an evening of volunteer clerical work, Tim said in his speech: “These are unbelievably momentous times. We find ourselves a few days off from Theresa May choosing to take us off a cliff edge of a hard Brexit that was not on the ballot paper, while the Labour party goes into some sort of comedy melt down. The time is right for Rod to become Mayor of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, not just because he’s a great candidate but because it will send a real message on Brexit.”

Father and business owner Rod Cantrill has pledged to bring his knowledge and determination to becoming a Mayor for the whole community across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Fenland. To create jobs that are local and communities that are vibrant.

Rod thanked Tim for a stirring speech and promised to be a strong liberal voice for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
